Pixelmator Filters

Wednesday, May 14th, 2008

I may have just got Pixelmator, but I already created something that would have taken ages in Photoshop.  I was able to do this with several Pixelmator features that either don’t work as well or don’t exist in Photoshop.  In fact, Pixelmator can use any Core Image filter or generator, giving it incredible versitality.  I’d like to share three nifty little filters.

ScribeFire & Firefox

Thursday, April 24th, 2008

I’ve just acquired ScribeFire and Firefox 3 beta 5. ScribeFire is a Firefox addon that allows you to blog from any browser window, and I anticipate that it will improve this site considerably, as the Wordpress interface and Wordpress in general disgusts me, and is buggy.

Anyway, ScribeFire has a nice user interface that integrates well with Firefox. It has drag-n-drop image support, flickr and YouTube imbed buttons, and tabbed editing. Installation was a snap. Simply download the plugin, and it will walk you through a setup assistant upon Firefox’s relaunch. After you give it your blog’s URL, ScribeFire automatically detects its type (ie, Wordpress) and the API location. Enter your username and password, and you’re good to go!
ScribeFire has numerouse features and good integration with Firefox, and I plan to update this post with their details!
